General optimisation
Online check-in
Getting guests checked-in quickly is at the top of everyone’s agenda. Your front-of-house staff want to reduce queues and provide a warm welcome, whilst arriving guests want to start enjoying their stay as soon as possible! Speeding up this process brings efficiency to your hotel’s operations while improving your guest experience.

Central reservations
Handling reservation requests for multiple locations, while ensuring that your hotels run efficiently, is challenging. As your portfolio grows, you might find your reservations team get overwhelmed. No matter how many hotels you operate, you’ll be looking to exceed guest expectation at every chance.
In a recent blog, we explain how the latest Rezcontrol PMS enhancement, Central Reservations, can have your team booking out rooms across all your properties with ease.
Passport details
As it is a legal requirement to record passports details and a guest’s next destination, we have now added both to Rezcontrol.
VAT rate adjustment
Throughout the pandemic the government introduced a reduced 5% VAT rate for the hospitality industry to help the industry recover. In October 2021, the new VAT rate was adjusted to 12.5% before returning to 20% in April 2022.
To assist with any future adjustments to the VAT rate, we have added in a manual setting as well as protection for VAT deposits that were taken at an older rate and used after a change.
Editable correspondence
Build a better rapport with your client with customisable emails. Add your personal message to outgoing correspondence without editing your templates.
Reasons for discounts
To help with the auditing of discounts, users now enter a reason for discounting a rate and discounts are tracked by user and reported on.
ResDiary (in certification)
We have completed integration of our cloud-based hotel property management system, Rezcontrol PMS with market leading restaurant reservation system, ResDiary. This collaboration will bring Avondata’s clients the huge advantage of two way connectivity between room and table booking systems; saving time and preventing human error.
Upsells and extras
The ability to add upsells and extras to bookings with pre-defined pricing and inventory control on limited number items.
Stop Sell
The Stop Sell feature is now available to those who are subscribed to the SiteMinder channel manager. Stop Sells can be applied on any date, or range of dates to close out online availability – ideal for preventing overbooking whilst moving bookings around to maximise occupancy.
