Our recent partnership with Fourth Hospitality brings another SSO (single sign-on) user authentication option to Rezcontrol users. In this article I will outline what exactly SSO is and how it can benefit your workforce.

A background on Fourth Hospitality

Fourth Hospitality, founded in 1999, provides hospitality management with a series of cloud-powered services from onboarding and HR to inventory tracking and shift scheduling. An innovator within the industry, the firm has six international offices providing solutions for clients. 

What is single sign-on?

Single sign-on (SSO) allows an end user to access multiple web applications using just one set of credentials. This saves the user from needing to remember multiple usernames and passwords, while still providing strong, secure authentication.

Tech giant Google also allows users to sign in to enterprise cloud applications using their managed Google account credentials. Google offers pre-integrated SSO with over 200 popular cloud applications, as well an API for web applications like Rezcontrol to integrate Google SSO into their platforms.

What are the benefits of single sign-on for our users?

Here are some reasons to use SSO.

• The process outsources the authentication method, and user’s credentials, to just one source 
• Removes the hassle of managing multiple user accounts for one individual
• Users are not required to have a corporate email address to log in – this allows a hotel to provide access to beyond management level
• Provides a seamless user experience. Users don’t need to log in multiple times or remember different credentials.

Once a user has logged in via single sign-on, access to Rezcontrol is immediately granted.
